On January 31st, 10 Eurostar Goalkeepers embarked on a journey to experience a football culture in Portugal. They got to train with Professional Clubs Cova, Estoril, and Pinhalnovense. The keepers got to train with Jose Moreira privately, along with Nuno Monteiro, and other Pro coaches.

 

The feedback from Portugal was our keepers all did well and showed a great understanding of the position. The keepers and some of the parents that accompanied them got to enjoy the sights of Portugal both football- related and lifestyle. Jose and his wife Maria and daughter Beatriz all shared their knowledge of beautiful Portugal and it's culture, as well as interacting with the people.

 

The group got to attend a derby between Benfica and Sporting at the José Alvalade Stadium.

Another day took the Canadians to Benfica's home stadium, Stadium of Lights, for a private tour.
